That January reset feeling... Are you a business that is going to recruit this year (whether it is for growth or to replace)? When was the last time you assessed how good your business is at this? Chances are that you may lose the best talent because your process isn't great. And if I was a business resetting its recruitment in 2025, this is what Iโd do:

Simply treat people well, show how important this recruitment is to you, and drive the process efficiently.
So often a company's process is slow, ill-thought out and impersonal. What makes this worse is what it's doing to your reputation: candidates, recruiters and your competition will be talking about you (and not in a good way).

Many leaders who are interviewing for their team often only think about what candidates say and how they perform (in their subjective view). They rarely think about what they can do to create the right setting and ask the most intelligent questions to the get the best out of candidates.
Sell! An interview should be 50% of the time learning about them and 50% you selling you.

If you interview a candidate, give them constructive feedback. It doesn't have to be chapter and verse. Anything is better than nothing.

Get it done in a week, no excuses. You will lose them if you get this wrong.

Remember how important this recruitment was at the beginning of the process! Make them feel welcome and prepare what they need to get started quickly.
Good talent is out there. You just need to find it and be better than your competition at attracting it.
