Are you a Key Account Manager looking for an opportunity to grow sales and develop long term relationships for a market-leader in providing engineering solutions to the semiconductor sector? My client is part of a distributor network for a global £multi-billion company that designs, develops, and manufactures mission-critical products, assemblies, and services, being the designers’ specification of choice. A highly profitable business with an exceptional reputation built over forty years, they have an ambitious plan to grow from circa £30m to £70m over the next decade.
As Key Account Manager, reporting to the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will have primary responsibility for commercial activities: driving revenue and margin outcomes for your key accounts that currently account for around £7m of sales. Through continual and pervasive improvement of account penetration, organisational awareness and opportunity mapping, you will drive business growth and competitive advantage, while creating new areas of growth. Customer-centric in thought, you will move with a high sense of urgency and be incredibly proactive. Coming from a technical background, you will have the ability to understand, evaluate, and recommend products and systems to provide Value-Add, backed up by the organisation’s first-class contract support and exceptional customer service. You will be home based, but will attend regular customer visits across England and Wales.
You will:
- Have a proven track record selling engineering solutions to the semiconductor sector.
- Have experience in delivering products/projects successfully to businesses from concept through development and production.
- Have technical depth, understanding the importance of utilising fundamental engineering principles in solution development and embeds embedding best practices, critical thinking and deep product understanding to ensure project achievement.
- Be adept at developing and incorporating planning and discussions to stay ahead of the marketplace with raised awareness of competitive technologies, disruptive technologies, and recommendations for technology direction from your customers.
- Be able to influence other functional teams to ensure appropriate functional quality, direction, capacity and support for your customers.
- Have strong organisational skills and commitment to excellence. Ability to balance customer requirements with the health of your business.
