Are you an HSE Director looking for an opportunity to make a significant impact on cultural change in a prestigious, growing business?

Our client is a renowned and long-established British manufacturer, part of a successful multinational conglomerate. Based on the South Coast, with over 3,000 employees across multiple sites, our client supplies a global customer base that is known for choosing products based on quality of design and finished product.

Profitable and growing, they have a vision of transforming their business from being a traditional manufacturer to one that embraces modern techniques and world class standards, without detracting from what makes their products and the company great. Recent financial investment into the business encompassing marketing and product development, combined with the advancement of the people agenda, shown by recent executive hires, is a clear indication of the desire for further growth and performance in the short and long term.

As part of their vision for the future, the Health, Safety and Environment strategy is a key priority for the continued success of the company. To that end, they are now looking to appoint an exceptionally talented and progressive HSE Director.

Reporting to the board, the HSE Director will be responsible for conceptualising and implementing a strategic road map for the Health and Safety function across multiple manufacturing and logistics sites across the South Coast. This will encompass implementing and reviewing processes and systems and agreeing upon and delivering key objectives for Health, Safety and Environment across the business.

In conjunction you will interface directly with each of the sites, analysing and identifying the specific challenges at each facility, providing training and feedback, engaging in specific site-based projects and over time becoming a figurehead and driving force for Health, Safety & Environment across the group.
