Our client

Stable, truly market-leading, well-run and very profitable, our client is a niche high-volume processing business with the customer at the heart of everything they do. Part of a UK-owned group established for over 200 years with a turnover in excess of £200m, our client seeks a General Manager for its site in Staffordshire. They are industry leaders in driving innovation and change, focusing on their people, their customers, technology and process improvement. 

The role

Reporting to the UK Operations Director, as General Manager you will have autonomy to provide leadership to all site operations as well as customer support, whilst achieving/exceeding company targets and maintaining full profit and loss responsibility.

You will lead the site in Staffordshire which is a profitable, fast-moving, high-volume business with a turnover of circa £7m and circa 85 people.

The ideal candidate

You will be a seasoned General Manager/Operations Leader with a proven track record in leading fast-moving, high-volume operations, such as FMCG manufacturing, printing & packaging, waste/recycling processing or cash processing.

We’re looking for a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, who can drive change and continuously improve processes.

You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to confidently deal with management, suppliers and employees.

First class organisation and planning skills are essential, as well as a flexible and innovative approach to your work.
