In their pursuit of Continuous Improvement our client is looking for a Head of Procurement to transform their direct and indirect procurement functions based in the UK and Far East. You will:

• Raise the profile of Procurement across the organisation and lead the migration from expediting to world class buying.
• Lead by example in best-in-class negotiation and supplier management that will build long-term relationships with the supply base and improve commercial performance;
• Implement data-driven systems, procedures and processes.

Reporting to the CFO you will lead the strategy and delivery, leading the team, taking accountability for a change management journey encompassing an effective and inspiring leadership style while implementing modern procurement methodology to:

• Drive cost savings;
• Mitigate for inflation;
• Ensure effective NPI buying to facilitate successful new product launches;
• Drive inventory improvements.

Who we're looking for?

You will be a talented Head of Procurement/Procurement Director/Procurement Manager who has lived and breathed world class supply chain, taking what they have learnt and pragmatically applied it successfully into less mature environments changing them for the better.

• First class strategic and leadership skills (whilst still being willing to be hands-on) with a history of delivering progressive cultural change enhancing employee capability and business performance.
• Strong communication and influencing skills.
• Extensive experience working with international supply chains within high pressure, high-volume manufacturing environments such as automotive, consumer products, building products.
• Process driven and experienced in driving measurable and sustainable supply chain performance improvement through implementation of best-in-class techniques.
